Take-Two hints that Grand Theft Auto 6 could be out next year

Published

on

Take-Two released latest annual income statement and hidden inside are intriguing predictions suggesting that Grand Theft Auto 6 could very well launch as early as next year.

ace noticed by IGN, publisher Take-Two predicts it will receive an absolutely staggering $8 billion in net orders in fiscal 2025 (early April 2024) as it launches “several groundbreaking games.” This is a significant jump from the $5.3 billion it just reported for fiscal year 2023, and an even larger jump from the $3.5 billion it reported the previous year, suggesting that something something important will happen between April and March 2025.

“Over the past few years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust set of projects that we believe will lead our company to even greater success,” Take-Two said in its earnings report.

Newscast: After Redfall launch issues, what’s next for Xbox?

“In fiscal 2025, we look forward to ushering in this new era with the release of several groundbreaking games that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to reach over $8 billion in net orders and over $1 billion in adjusted unlimited operating cash flow. “. the publisher continued. “We look forward to maintaining this momentum by delivering even stronger operating results in fiscal 2026 and beyond.”

Take-Two’s upcoming roster remains a little hazy, aside from its usual sports games, but we know that Ken Levin’s Judas is on the way, as is 31st Union’s new IP, Hangar 13’s new Mafia game, as well as a new BioShock game from Cloud Chamber. It’s certainly a promising list, but it may not be exactly the right place to bet those supposed $8 billion and “even more.”

However, GTA 6, which Rockstar finally announced last February after nearly a year of rumors and reports, will – barring a bewildering reality event – be a huge deal for Take-Two, given that its predecessor made over $1 billion. US dollars within 24 hours of release and has sold over 180 million copies. And if it also has a component similar to GTA Online’s money printing, that could well explain Take-Two’s projections of “even higher” revenues in fiscal 2026.

However, as always, this is all speculation until Take-Two is ready to say more.

Diablo 4 gameplay trailer shows each class absolutely kills… Billie Eilish?

Published

on

A new “Gameplay Launch Trailer” has debuted in Diablo 4, and it shows all classes kicking some demons’ butts to a vaguely applicable Billie Eilish track.

I’m putting “Gameplay Launch Trailer” in quotes because Diablo 4’s Early Access release is still two weeks away on June 2nd, just so we don’t disappoint anyone here.
