We are confident that the iPhone 15 series will be launched in September, and while we wait for the official release of these phones, we have some high-quality renders of the Pro model from a reliable source.
This source 9to5Mac (will open in a new tab)and the images shared show the iPhone 15 Pro from all angles, including the bottom, so we can see the new USB-C port that all 2023 iPhones are rumored to get.
It’s described as a “significant upgrade” as the iPhone 15 Pro will be housed in a titanium case with more rounded edges than the iPhone 14 Pro. The camera protrusion is also larger and the lenses stick out further.
Buttons and Frames
We’ll also take a look at the new solid-state buttons for volume, mute, and power. According to previous rumors, they will replace conventional mechanical buttons, providing tactile feedback instead of physical movement.
The bezels are said to be smaller too: 1.55 millimeters to be exact. The glass display will also be slightly curved around the edges, according to this leak, “flowing seamlessly into the device’s titanium frame” around the bezel.
As mentioned earlier, 9to5Mac says there will be a new deep red color for the iPhone 15 Pro, so keep an eye out for that. Finally, the dimensions of the phone appear to be slightly smaller than the 2022 model.
Analysis: beautiful iPhone
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all, but based on these photos, we’d say the iPhone 15 Pro promises to be one of the prettiest iPhones – and we’re guessing other models in the range will be similar in aesthetics.
We’ve always liked the more rounded look of older iPhones, rather than the straight and angular edges of the iPhone 14 and recent releases. We assume that this will also improve the feel of the smartphone in the hand.
The move to USB-C — under pressure from EU regulators — has been talked about for a while, and it should make finding a charger easier. However, you may need an Apple-approved cable to get the most out of the new port.
This new dark red color looks great too and will be a welcome alternative to the usual silver and gray colors. As we saw with the yellow iPhone 14, adding more colors is an easy win for Apple, and we’d like to see more in the future.
